That's a popular misconception of the poker world. For everyone on top of the poker world winning million dollar prizes or 500k pots on High Stakes Poker, there are 100 players like me. Skilled amateurs who do it for fun or fringe pros grinding out medium stakes and recording every single minute of their play. Living on your wits alone is a very stressful thing, and even a decent player understands the kinds of swings a poker player can face. If you're not ready for them emotionally and financially it can ruin you. It's not easy looking at a work month in the red, but I've done it.

Sure it has to be stressful, but it would be making a living off of something you really enjoy doing. That is better then what a lot of people do..

As evident by all of your posts in this thread you really don't have a grasp on reading.

What I said has nothing to do with physical talent, it is the rules that gives anyone the ability to play with the pros. No matter how many roids you do you will never play professional football, and it will have nothing to do with your physical talent. Moneymaker plays professional poker because of his bankroll, not because of his skill.

And I'm calling shenanigans on what he does being labeled "playing pro poker" and more toward "being a poker celebrity"

What happened to the " I'm not going to say anything else bad about Chris, because he's too nice of a guy"? How much better of a player does it make you feel, when you put down people, who have accomplished more then yourself? That in itself, seems a little "unprofessional"..

Look, I'm sure your cousin is a nice guy and all, we're just saying he isn't nearly as skilled as you think he is.

That's crazy...

When I lived in c-bus about 5 years ago the weekly poker game I went to got robbed. It was on the news at the time. The host took a rake each week and had a point system where the leaders got a great deal on a buy in to the big tourney at the end of the year. Word at the time was that the host set up the robbers himself because he didn't want to pay all of the promised buyins. Sure enough, the big tourney was canceled "due to the robbery".
