Poinsettia Bowl (TCU 37, NIU 7) Dec. 19

I hope the Florida chumps start saying how bad we are because NIU sucks and they ran on us.
They will be even more stunned when they lose!
Oh....You can count on Florida fans to start some kind of shit about every team we have played that is in a bowl game.......just wait until the TSUN game.....they will be talking a bunch of shit about that one since it was our closest game.....

I can hear it now......"well tOSU couldn't do that against TSUN and we can because we are faster...."

We quit in the 2nd half. Well the offense didn't really quit because they never started, but the D did.

I can live with the 35-12 loss to you guys because you were just that much better then us, but TCU isn't near that much better. Sad.

I agree the defense played well for most of the first half. I didn't want to use the word "quit", but since you already did, I have to say the D was quite demoralized-looking in the second half.

The worst part is we blocked 3 kicks and lost. 2 punts (1 taken back for a TD) and an XP. How do you block 3 kicks and lose?

Also part of the reason the D struggled in the 2nd half was because we were without Larry English (12 sacks this year). He hurt his knee late in the 2nd.

It was awful.

I think you guys just never recovered after playing us. :wink2:

I didn't follow you guys very closely, but it seems like Wolfe had quite a few way below average games near the end of the year, do you think he just ran out of steam (with his size being a factor)?

It had nothing to do with Wolfe really. He was injured, but they put 9 guys in the box and left the WR one on one. All season our passing game couldn't take advantage of it, so they kept putitng them in the box.

Western Michigan put 9 guys in the box and dared us to throw. They shut down Wolfe, and the rest of our offense. The rest followed suit.
