Please Dominate Me, and Talk Dirty

Bucks_Dominate,

The simple fact remains that just because you dont understand why something happens doesn't mean that it doesn't make sense or have a purpose. If you approached this situation more inquisitive instead of how you did you might just have gotten a good debate. As it stands, you look like an ass.

No...what that makes the Bucks is an untested program who will be less prepared when of the brutal TEN schedule arrives.

IMO...that's a very bad thing.

The point of the OOC schedule is to be tested, prepare for adversity/tough situations, and playing cupcake Pee Wee teams does nothing to prepare the team for the tough road ahead.
You've made at least 5 posts about scheduling as you put it "pee wee" and "helpless" teams in the WASHINGTON thread... we get your point. If you are going to whine about scheduling I and I'm sure many others would appreciate it if you kept your whining to the YSU thread (though I'd prefer it if you just dropped it). I expected to see conversation about Washington not this crap.

I would have sent this message via PM but you seem to have that feature turned off.

I never said that:shake:

What I am saying: Keep the Pee Wee teams that do nothing to test the buckeye talent off the schedule.

Beating 'mediocre' BCS conference teams will do much more to test the progress of our beloved buckeyes. Whipping sub-midmajor halflings provides no test.

At the very least, scheduling more of the Okie states, Mizzous, Pitts should be in order, and they will provide the 'tuneup' test necessary to develop the teams developmental progress.

Your position has been stated repeatedly. Nobody wants to hear those same whining comments any more.

Discuss the game matchups, the weather, the coaching, the cheerleaders, anything else. But stop restating the same whining stuff - period.

PS.... the reason for my persistence is that I cant, for the life of me, understand why 'so called' buckeye fans are gung-ho about playing such patsies in OOC games. It just leaves me shaking my head in disbelief. As buckeye fans, we should all ask for more!!

I guess my utter disbelief is why I keep beating a dead horse.

No one is "gung-ho" about playing YSU, aside from YSU fans and those interested in the "Tressel connection".

So, as Buckeye fans, we should "ask for more" by demanding we play nothing but top 10 teams on the OOC schedule...since they're the only ones deserving of being on the same field as us, huh, dipshit?

OK, Rain Man, from now on everytime you use "pee wee" or "halflings", I'm dinging your stupid ass...I'm sick of those phrases already.

I was going to let this go but since you said this let's keep it on here. You were chastising Mili earlier for calling you names then you leave me this gem:

Buckeyes games overseas 08-13-2007 01:23 AM Bucks_Dominate Fuck you asshole..... get out of my box you jackass
Now, we did have some heated discussion earlier (and what I perceived as fairly respectable) but I'm not sure what I did to deserve that kind of language, especially in that thread as I was offering a fellow Buckeye fan a solution to his dilemma, a solution that was put together by some very generous posters here on BP that you are evidently taking part of... I did not call you any names or use that language toward you but that makes you very hypocritical.

I see a few reasons for a large discussion in this thread:
  1. tOSU has never played YSU
  2. It is the first game of the year.
  3. It is the off-season.
  4. Many people either follow YSU or are happy to see them do well as they are essentially Ohio's representative to I-AA football.
The YSU game is the closest thing to the return of Buckeye football so of course it is going to get talked about.

YSU

If you are a true fan of "the State School of Ohio" you would appreciate it from a financial point of view. When we play other schools in OHIO it helps everyone who lives here in a variety of ways, es[ecially the schools.

No one plays three "killer" non-conference games, playing one tough non-conference game is better than 85% of the country!!

I agree that having a difficult sked to brag about!! But it is also mice to keep OHIO strong.

OSU's non-conference schedule typically follows a simple formula:

2 tune-up games (MAC teams or Cincinnati)
1 middle-of-the-road BCS conference opponent (such as a Texas Tech.)
1 solid-to-elite (which varies in a way that can't be predicted) BCS conference opponent.

To me, there are two issues here. First, this year, OSU departs from its normal non-conference schedule by having three tune-up games, and only one BCS conference opponent. As they did last year. I'd personally prefer to see a non-conference schedule along the lines of the norm, described above. Second, is YSU a legitimate tune-up game, in accordance with past practice? If you're going to argue that YSU as a tune-up game represents a significant departure from past practice, there are only two grounds on which you can do so:

1) YSU is notably inferior to any MAC team, or
2) While YSU is just as good as, or better than, several MAC teams, the mere fact that they are 1-AA will be harmful to OSU's bowl prospects, or at least and in some vague sense, to OSU's reputation.

The people who are arguing against the inclusion of YSU on OSU's schedule should indicate which of the above points they're basing that on, and argue that point.

The alternative is to argue that OSU's historical scheduling, as described above, has been a mistake, and that OSU should not schedule tune-up games.

"so called buckeye fans are gung-ho"? Your an idiot. We just had a home and home with texas, washington was supposed to be tough, and we then have home and homes with USC, Miami, OU, etc. So what more do you want to ask for?

This isn't NCAA 08 where you scehdule UF, USC, and OU all before big 10 play..

Four pages ago BD said that he had Mili on ignore and noone has had the decency to quote all of Mili's posts that were directed toward BD. I'm glad that I entered this pissing match when I did. Another couple of pages and it might have been too late.

I put that loser in ignore, so that subject has, in fact, been discontinued.

No, because you're a dipshit of 12-year-old "intellect" who either can't, or refuses to, comprehend that top-level I-AA teams like YSU are as competitive, if not moreso, than teams like Akron and Kent State whom you think are accpetable simply because they're in the MAC. YSU owns both teams.

Do us all a favor and just shut the fuck up and go to 400 Oak Street in Cincinnati and buy some boxer shorts...

It's FCS, dipshit, which in your case stands for Fuckin' Crack Smoker...

Do you have any other terms in your Rain Man vocabulary? Oh yeah, if "not even the MidMajors are worthy", then who the fuck should we play? Lastly, YSU is hardly a "tiny community school".

The '91-'94 YSU teams could beat Indiana or Northwestern...
