The Red Wings (Lang) just tied Game 4 with 33 seconds left in period 3. Now going to OT.

If they get the OT goal, they go home 2-2 instead of down 3-1.

Yes, yes it is. It's definitely not helping me cut back on the coffee, that's for sure. We should really stop playing such late games - or I should stop going to work so early in the morning.

you guys are right, great series so far. goes back to what i say about columbus, detroit and to a lesser extent nashville and st. l in the west. a lot of folks are missing out on great games ending at 1, 2 or in the case of the game about 2 weeks ago 3 in the morning.

58 saves. without him how deep do they go. its evident by how much more time theyve spent on the ice than anyone else in the playoffs. loungo carried those guys.

A couple of very skillful goals by Hecht today as Buffalo closed out the Rangers. The Ottawa-Buffalo series should be an excellent Conference final.

The interest level in the Stanley Cup playoffs is a sad statement for the NHL. It's hard to see how Bettman can last much longer as Commissioner.

Here's a thought, though. If Game 1 of the Final would have been played on this Saturday afternoon, a day which has virtually no decent sports progamming (College Lax looks loike the best thing on!), some people might be watching and start caring about the Stanley Cup Final.

But no, they continue the very long layoff until Monday.

The NBA has done the same thing in the past. They place a big importance on advertising for the start date for the Finals. When both Conference Finals series end in 5 games or less, there's a dead period of about a week, which I think is very bad for fan interest.
