FWIW, Peach and I didn't sit at the same table last year until we beat enough suckas to make it to the final table... At which point, we quickly eliminated BuckyKatt and TimBuck2... there was no monkey business going on under the table, we are just that good!!! :wink2:

Getting ready to bring my troop to Bob Woodruff Scout reservation in Georgia for summer camp next Saturday. Lots to do to make sure we are ready, and unfortunately the Mrs will be out of town all next week on business, so I am running and gunning to get ready at home and also be gone from my work for a week. But a week at camp with a gaggle of newly crossed over scouts is always rewarding, once they get over the homesickness. I still remember my first Boy Scout summer camp and the feeling of independence and accomplishment I felt when the week was over.

Have a safe and great trip!! Send postcards from the edge!

Thanks! Have fun at the poker tournament -- would love to be there!

We're doing a whirlwind tour -- Denver, Boulder, Ft. Collins, Durango. I'm thinking about trying out for kicker at UC Boulder while I'm there. :p

Oh, and gonna drink a ton of Fat Tire.

Take the narrow gage train from Durango to Silverton (or is that the other way?) Anyway, cool view. If you're driving on I-70 to Colorado, stock up on shades. What a God awful drive, I-70 thru Kansas is...

Which reminds me of my only Kansas joke. Two Kansas wheat farmers met at their property line. First one said: "What's new Zeb?" Second one said: "My oldest boy ran away three days ago.." First one said: "Are ya worried?" Second one said: "Nope......still see 'em!"

You have to have lived in Kansas to appreciate that fully.

I made that drive a few times when I lived in Arizona. Kansas and eastern Colorado are boring as hell. Luckily, we're not driving.

The Durango train look amazing, but it's pretty expensive. We might drive up to Silverton or Telluride (at least part of the San Juan Skyway).

Silverton is a fun little drive from Durango. Can you imagine living there in the winter, snowed in because of that(Red Mountain) damn pass? It's one of the most dangerous in North America. Silverton has an amazing semi-private ski area. Super steep and dangerous. Guided only.

The Silverton and Durango is a nice train ride.

Pagosa Springs has an excellent hot springs! Woo Hoo!

You may want to day trip to Chaco Canyon(below Farmington) to visit the ruins there. They are amazing and you can hike all day if you like. Bring food and water. And a lite rain coat/wind breaker.

Telluride can kiss my ass after the way store owners treated us on a visit there. Don't bother. Not a friendly town any more.

You could day trip to Taos if you like. See the Taos Pueblo. Rio Grande Gorge Bridge.

Watch out for late day thunder storms. Monsoon Season has started.

wife's high shool reunion tonight :smash:

At the very least, it had to better than your own high school reunion. You know, the one where nobody showed up.

Finally having a slow day at work, getting a chance to catchup with the going-ons of the OD forum for the last couple weeks.

Wife's out-of-town for the week, so I've got a hot date with the lawnmower tonight. Not nearly as much fun as the hotdate with the leafblower :sad2:
