Starting pitching through the first 3 games has been excellent as the Bucs had the lead through 6 innings in each - they lost 2 of them because Pirates.

Today's home opener was classic:

4-0 lead after 6
Blow it, tied at 4 in the 8th
Go ahead HR in the bottom of the 8th
Unearned run to blow it (again) in the 9th
Lost in 11

Yep, baseball season is back in the Burgh. :pirate:

Oops, they did it again. Bucs had a 3-0 lead through six, lost 5-4 in 10.

Last season the Bucs only lost 3 times when they had a lead after 7 innings.

Today they lost their 3rd game this season in which they had a lead after 7 innings. :ohbrother:

With 10% of the season gone the Pirates began the day in first place in the NL Central at 10-6. Not bad considering 2 starting OFers have yet to play due to injury, and they pissed away leads after the 7th inning in 3 of the losses.

Do I expect it to continue? Yeah, right. :lol:

Starling Marte was carted off the field tonight, so now the entire starting OF is unavailable. :ohbrother:

Bucs still beat Bumgarner's Giants 4-1, to move to 11-6.
