Pittsburgh Panthers (official thread)

The funny thing is that the game was not even as close as the score.
I remember hearing later that Cooper, going into the locker room at halftime, or just coming out after halftime, told the sideline reporter that they weren't going to throw the ball at all in the second half. It was 52-0 at that point.

Ohio State led total yardage 602-120.
Pitt was 1 for 11 on third down attempts, and 0 for 2 on fourth down attempts.
Ohio State led in first downs 29-4.

Look at the drive chart. Ohio State's first 6 drives ended in touchdown. And the 7th? Field goal. #8, #9, and #10 - touchdowns. Ohio State scored on their first 10 drives. Then, of course, was the punt return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Pitt got the ball on their first 11 drives via kickoff. (That's really saying the same thing as what I just said - scoring on 10 straight drives.)
Ohio State played 11 different players at wide receiver. This was when Ohio State RARELY, if ever, played more than 2 at wide receiver on any play.
13 different players played OL.
3 different players played QB - Stanley, Germaine, and Hoying.
4 different players played FB
4 different players played TB.
0 players punted, though Bartholomew is credited as the punter.

Halftime stats: 374 yards to 29.
Ohio State's passing stats at halftime: 14-17 for 233 yards.
Ohio State's passing stats at the end of the game: 14-17 for 233 yards. So even if I don't remember that Cooper said that at halftime, it's still true: Ohio State did not pass in the 2nd half.
