Pick the Heisman top-5 in order

I really wouldn't have a problem with voting for any of the top three candidates . McCoy or Tebow and Bradford all have had the year to win. I just don't want Tebow to get his 2nd. If push comes to shove I would vote for Bradford with over 4,000 yards and his TD to int ratio.

I wonder if they'll be a split among McCoy and Bradford that could tip it to Tebow.

any splitting of votes is more likely to hurt Tebow than help...IMO.

My theory...

Heisman voters are charged with voting for first, second and third place. Traditionally, there seems to be some regional bias in this voting process. And with there being 3 far and away favorites, there will be more voters in the South that have Tebow No. 1...but nearly all of them will have Bradford and McCoy in the Nos. 2 and 3 slots...meaning that despite Tebow being No. 1 more often, the other two will still appear on the vast majority of ballots...as there's really not another southern/SEC player worthy of a third-place vote, so therefore no strong homer aspects to hurt McCoy and/or Bradford there...

But when we get to the B12 voters (termed southwest I think in the Heisman regional ballot breakdown)...they'll more likely have Bradford and McCoy Nos. 1 and 2 with Tebow in much more of a fight with guys like Harrell, Crabtree and even Shonn Greene for even making a chunk of these ballots. Kind of like scoring '0' on a test...if the number of ballots in the B12 area start to pile up a bit (not even in large numbers, only a few will do it IMO)...I think this cripples Tebow's chances overall a great deal...or at least makes it really difficult for him to win given the overall closeness of the vote in all the other regions (probably).

In looking at stiffarmtrophy.com, where they've compiled information from actual voters, you can see this coming into play...look at the ballots column...in their current count of 213 ballots, Tebow is off of 11 more than Bradford...and it is not a coincdence that the next 3 guys on the list (Harrell, Crab and Greene) are indeed the next 3 guys on the list...because that's who the SW/B12 (and probably some B10) guys are voting for instead of Tebow...thus hurting his chances quite a bit...

Well, Piney, you asked for this bet. :tongue2:

I basically broke even, betting 600 million and getting it back. Crabtree in 5th was somewhat of a surprise.

Freaking Crabtree... Everywhere I saw shown him projected as 7th and I was hoping Greene would have gotten more midwestern votes for the big win.

Oh well, I only lost $120 million. I think I use that much to wipe my ass
