Zurp

I have misplaced my pants.
One name- Ricky Williams
During his tenure at texas it was widely know that he smoked marijuana, he still won the Heisman. I dont think off the field issues matter than much its whats on the field that counts.

I think off-the-field issues can and do effect Heisman voting. If I weren't having such a total brain-meltdown at the moment, I'd remember the name of the receiver who played at Florida State who got caught basically stealing stuff from an athletics store. He was on a lot of people's Heisman lists until he was suspended for a couple of games. He wasn't even invited to go to the ceremony.

Crap. What was his name? He got drafted by the Bengals. Does he still play for them?

I thought he ended up missing a quarter of the season. That's a lot of time to miss and still receive enough votes for an invite.

I heard on the radio this morning that Holgren will start Warrick on punt returns on Sunday. Hopefully he will do better at that task than the other bozos that they have had returning punts.

DETROIT — Irony sometimes has a strange way of working its magic, especially when it comes to the historically bad karma of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Former first-round pick and Seattle Seahawks receiver Peter Warrick could become this year’s version of Corey Dillon: a high-profile player that was let go by the Bengals and contributed to winning a Super Bowl for another team the following season.
The fifth overall selection in 2000 was released Aug. 30 because he was slow to recover from a broken fibula and a knee infection. The emergence of T.J. Houshmandzadeh and rookie Chris Henry made Warrick expendable at the beginning of the season.
Warrick has since recovered to become the fourth receiver and punt returner for Seattle, but the memory of being cut for the first time in his career still stings.
"Really deep down — and this is my first time talking about it — but it really hurt me to my heart," Warrick said. "I gave a lot to Cincinnati, as far as what I tried to contribute to the team and hurting myself trying to come back to help us get to the playoffs. And then when I’m down they just stepped on my neck, but everything happens for a reason."
Warrick said just two days earlier Bengals coach Marvin Lewis told him he wouldn’t be cut, adding to his disbelief. He admitted to shedding a few tears and having a crushed ego after the incident.
Warrick was sure another team would be in need of a receiver and Seattle brought him in for a physical in September and he hasn’t left since. He signed a one year, $1.3 million contract and is now one victory shy of winning a Super Bowl title. "You know what, for me to win the Super Bowl it would be so special because I’ve accomplished it on every level," Warrick said. "I’ve won in high school. I’ve won in youth league. I’ve won at Florida State. If we win Sunday, I would have accomplished every goal in life that I personally ever asked for. A lot of people can’t say that."

Warrick has done nothing for Seattle this year. Despite what that retard says, the Bengals made no mistake letting his underachieving ass go bye-bye.

That being said, if he helps turn Pittsburgh into a city of mourning on Monday, I'll love him. :slappy:
