So you don't think USC has 4-loss potential with all of the personnel and coaching changes the team will make? Especially if they lose Leinhart.
Say they do lose four games, are they not the 'perinial' power you assert them to be? I mean, OSU was one game from being in back-to-back National Title games and had the chance for two straight undefeated seasons. USC wouldn't even have sniffed that piece of the title if we won our game v. Michigan, so again, with NO change in record for USC, would it change their status?
What about Chokelahoma? They got rolled up by USC and LSU, respectively. They didn't even win the Big 12 the year they lost to LSU. How does two straight Fiesta Bowl wins compare to what these idiots were doing during those years?
So, let's look at the first decade of the 21st century. Who has had as much success as OSU? Well, I can count them on one hand. USC, Oklahoma, Miami, and JUST MAYBE LSU. Michigan has won 1 bowl game in this decade and it wasn't a BCS game. Texas hasn't won their confrence in how long? Florida State hsa been good but not great in the 2000's. I'd say OSU has been the fifth most dominant team, at the least, over the last five years. My vote personally is #3, behind Miami and USC.
I guess I'm just wondering how you qualify perennial power. How many are there in a given year, and if it changes because of one 8-4 season, how do you expect your opinion to hold any weight at all?
