    Game 1

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa- – The Ohio State baseball team dropped the series opener at Penn State, 6-2, Saturday afternoon at Medlar Field in University Park, Pak. PENN STATE STRIKES FIRST
The Nittany Lions jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with two runs in the bottom of the first. After back-to-back base hits, a sac bunt and throwing error allowed the first run to cross. Buckeyes sweep games 2 and 3 to win series

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Ohio State baseball team swept Penn State in a Sunday doubleheader at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park in University Park, Pa. The Buckeyes (14-17, 3-6 B1G) rallied in the ninth inning to win game one, 5-2, before rolling in game two by a score of 11-2. With the doubleheader sweep, the Scarlet and Gray claim their first Big Ten series victory of the 2017 season.

“Getting the win in game one in the fashion we did really boosted that believing feeling we’ve been searching for,” head coach Greg Beals said. “We like the talent on this ball club and we still have a shot and opportunity to do something with this season. We need to find that ‘it” factor and we did that today. We got a comeback win in game one and were able to roll that momentum into game two. We need to keep that momentum going into these next two midweek games.”
