But I'm surprised I've been reading as long as I have been before I got to a complaint about the referees.

Also, I saw some bad holds not get called. But I don't really care.

I am also just sick and tired of every team holding us BLATANTLY right in front of the officials and they don't call it, seems like every team teaches there Oline to take advantage of BIG refs except PSU.

I mean Allar played poorly for 90% of the game, the OC gameplan was horrific, but this BIG officiating is just soooooo bad. I lost count of how many times DDS was just tackled, just a couple of those called correctly forces Oline to change how they block and changes Oregons entire gameplan, just ridiculous.

That game was reffed in much the same way the 2014 OSU game was reffed. Blatant inadequacies by the stripes. Or purposeful inadequacies. You decide.

Sorry if this has been addressed, what happens if the refs happen, for crazy reason, to catch the obvious facemask on the OR 2 pt conversion? Where is the ball placed for our possession?

1. I agree that the white out is very overrated. "Let's all dress in the color of the other team's uniforms!" And the fact that they think they invented it is funny. And that they think they should be able to bully the TV networks into letting them choose their schedule to get an optimal time slot for their white out makes me laugh, too.
2. As for your question about other traditions being more overrated, I'll throw out some other traditions that I'm not crazy about, and let others decide if they're "more overrated":
- The cheaters saving their #1 jersey for some privileged nerd. Lame.
- aTm's "12th man". I'm not crazy about it, but I don't think it's nearly as overrated as the white out.
- Little Brown Jug. Dang - I wish my team could win a water jug.
- Jump-Around. White-Out is still more overrated in my mind, but I figured I'd bring this one out.
- I never thought Clemson's run down the hill was at all impressive. I don't want someone to get hurt, but I find it fun to think that a season-ending injury might happen to a key player running down the hill.

Agree that those are all pretty lame, but I'd still go with the "white out," simply because while those traditions are lame, other than maybe the 12th man advantage, none of them are supposed to have any direct effect on the game, the way that the white out is supposed to have.

Future White Outs - Forums

Don’t usually post, just read. But I’ve got a family tie in the building and after last night Franklin was heated. Word is he told admin no more White Outs until the team proves it. Apparently even brought it up in a closed-door meeting this morning. Could just be frustration, but if they lay an...

I guess Franklin is sad because his team won't show up for these big games. Way to deflect, James.
The rumor is that he doesn't think his teams deserve a white out.
