Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

How is this not already here?

So Penn State fans are unhappy because they aren't included in the biggest rivalry in the Big Ten? Get some history and come back in 100 years and see if you can take the place of THE game.

Edit: to be fair, the rest of the responses are calling the OP a dingus.
Give PSU their due. They have lost as many games as OSU and Michigan combined .

You might not remember when they came into the conference. Every single one of the those fucking mutants was 100% dead, lock certain that The Game would quickly be an afterthought both nationally and in the conference. The road to the Big Ten championship would go through Rhythmic Slapping Valley every year, and those shizholians would become both Ohio State's and Michigan's biggest rivalry game.

And how the hell do the #2 and #3 teams kinda suck?

Yes - I do remember that they thought they'd own the Big Ten. The fact that Michigan beat them that first year was about the most amazing thing that anyone could have done. Very much a David vs. Goliath, in their eyes. They were the Soviet Hockey team in 1980, and Michigan was the Americans. To lose that game was that kind of upset. Then Ohio State did it, too. And maybe someone else. (Edit: no - it was just Ohio State and Michigan, and in back-to-back games.) And it was like, "OK - now we actually have to TRY to win games. No more Mr. Nice Guy." And 1994 they ran through the conference pretty well. But since then, 2 conference championships. TWO?!?

(Fast-forward to 0:31).

That was 22 years ago.

Now in 2016, they have a "good" to "decent" shot at getting into the Big Ten Championship Game, with nothing to apologize for. They REALLY want us to forget those 22 years? Just like that?

Sorry - I know the answer to that question. I'm just glad I get to turn the interwebs off when I want to, and am glad I don't have to live in Cult-land. Keep up the good fight, those of you who live there (BN27, JoePathetic, and others).

I had to explain to them how our game against them was meaningless as long as Michigan did their job and then we beat Michigan. Took a couple tries, too. Then of course Michigan fucks it up like they always do. Then....since all those other teams lost, it STILL doesn't matter as long as we beat Michigan.

That's how meaningful you are, Penn State. If I didn't hate you so god damn much, I'd have already forgotten about you.

Rut Roh.........They're on to us! The Cult already "knows" that the B1G is gonna screw them against Sparty!

(Everybody IS paid up this week right?)

https://bwi.forums.rivals.com/threa...onio-msu-upsetting-psu-he-should-have.156563/

For this week? I already paid next year's in advance...as an incentive.

(Was going to quote something from the Sparty fight song for inspiration, until I actually read the lyrics.

Wow. They really have a lame fight song. Never mind. I'm still going to sing along with them this Saturday.)

FYI

On the banks of the Red Cedar
There's a school that's known to all
Its specialty is winning
And those Spartans play good ball
Spartan Teams are never beaten
All through the game they'll fight
Fight for the only colors
Green and White
Go right through for MSU
Watch the points keep growing
Spartan Teams are bound to win,
they're fighting with a vim
Rah! Rah! Rah!
See their team is weakening
We're going to win this game!
Fight! Fight! Rah, Team, Fight!
Victory for MSU!

Probably better in the Paterno thread, but I didn't feel like digging him...I mean it, up. Anyone have a BWI account they can share this over there?

Detroit Lions linebacker DeAndre Levy called former Penn State coach Joe Paterno a “dirtbag” and said it “my proudest moment in college” to break the coach’s left leg on a sideline collision in 2006, when Levy played for Wisconsin.
