So, apparently these mutants still play football. I had no idea, because nobody, including their own fans ever seem to actually talk about it. Anyway, look whose name is popping up on hot seat lists:

James Franklin just hasn't been a good fit at Penn State. But would the school really pay more than $13 million to fire him? That's difficult to imagine, especially since he took over a roster still ailing from the NCAA sanctions and inevitable lackluster recruiting following the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Still, Penn State officials can't be thrilled about the Nittany Lions' status as the definitive fourth-string team in the Big Ten East. Penn State lost to Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State by a combined score of 121–42 last year, and Franklin is 0–6 against those schools.


The Nittany Lions play at Pittsburgh, host Temple and travel to Michigan during September. If they don't show a spark and better game management, things could get dicey in State College.

I don't have the first clue what kind of team they have this year. Couldn't tell you who their QB is. All I know is Hackysack graduated, and they have a pretty decent RB. That's a pretty rough September for a team that I'm just going to assume isn't going to be all that good again this year...

OK, so two can play at that game. As a long-time Amazon customer, I just gave them a call, too. Had a nice chat with a young lady who did not sound like she lived in Bangladesh. She is forwarding that chat to a service department that will be communicating with me in more detail.

I explained the substance of the shirt's message is validated by court documents, among other things, and that for every one caller they may have who complains about the shirts, there are about a million of us out here who approve of them. Told her we'd be offended if the shirts were taken down.

For anyone with a spare minute of two, it's possible to call/email Amazon.

I tried to link the page, but it doesn't work without signing in to your account. I was trying to make it easier, since Amazon has complicated the process of getting to them. You need to check the drop down boxes for topics like "other" so that it keeps moving along. Eventually you get to a page with the choice of email or phone. "Help" at the very bottom of the page, then in Browse Topics, Need More Help, Contact Us. It's kind of a bitch, but not nearly as much of one as the bitch who started the crap over the shirts in the first place.

If anyone here is registered at the Pitt site, maybe you could pass the suggestion along to them, too.

I don't even think she believes the shit she's saying about the victims (owywtct). To me, it just sounds like a hollow ploy to create the appearance of decency. I think the dead giveaway is her reference to the shirts being created out of "sports hate" because, you know, it was all about football.

How about, in every stadium where they play, a response chant on the order of our O-H I-O would begin (preferably during game play so it's audible on the live broadcast). One side of the stadium starts yelling "JOE!" and the other side answers "KNEW!" And if they wanna get fancy, they could alternate it with "NEVER!" "FORGET!"

WTF are they gonna do? Eject 100,000 people?
