So I'll play along. If this is your claim, a few questions arise:
Why would they want rid of him in 1998? And why wait until 2011 to finish him off?
How did a seemingly intelligent person such as Sandusky allow himself to be such a patsy? Why was he unable to provide any proof that the claims were bullshit?
Of all the ways to get rid of him - why a pedophile scandal that would rip the university apart? Why not any of a million other schemes that could result in his firing that would have kept the university in the clear?
Why would the BOT get Spanier and Schultz mixed in?
And if they just fired him? People would have been upset. I'd say probably half the fan base would be pissed and the other half would've been relieved. Of course, this would have the added bonus of saving $100 million dollars (plus God knows how much in indirect costs), no sanctions, and oh yeah - no stigma of covering up for child rape.
Perhaps you should also claim aliens and leprechauns helped conspire with the BOT. It's just as believable.
No. I am saying he was falsely accused in 1998, and we already have established that McQueary did not witness ANAL RAPE, or even an erection, screams, blood, etc, ergo., NO INAPPROPRIATE SEXUAL GRATIFICATION. So 2 incidents of unsubstantiated accusations, and our illustrious BOT simply took the low hanging fruit of a man who was falsely accused of being a pedofile, and used it to oust Joe Paterno, in the most cowardly and dispicable of ways. This much is NOT IN DISPUTE to anyone with a brain capable of rational thought.To those of you who disagree, how can you claim that Jerry was a pedofile, when there is NO PROOF that he committed ANAL RAPE or even had an ERECTION? In my opinion, this line of reasoning is as erroneous and dangerous as the Freeh report. We simply cannot conclude that there is any merit in these charges, and that it was a clear railroading of Jerry Sandusky.
