umm... Northwestern lost to 1-AA New Hampshire, Purdue struggled mightily before beating Miami OH in OT (whom the Mildcats beat by 18 last week) and Illinois got DRILLED 33-0 by Rutgers...

any way you look at it, the Big Ten is down this year...

Yep... if we get by Texas tonight it may be a one game season with scUM at the end of the year (even though anything can and usually does happen in the Big10).

Sad but true. Stand corrected with the B10 games played earlier in the day.

Only one good way to get over this - the Buckeyes hold up the honor of the conference, by winning, away, at night in Austin, against the reigning champs.

I think it is my duty to rep a straight call post from cincibuck.
Edit: Consider it done

I've only seen glances of the game and the last TD, but it looked to me like 1. there isn't enough pressure on Quinn. (he had forever on the last TD.
2. Morelli is inconsistantly inconsistant:biggrin:

Yeah, not looking good. Tate is out for Iowa and that is a factor in that game. Stanton did not impress me. Threw behind his man twice on the last set of downs before the half. The MSU OL doesn't look that good either.

A TSUN victory against Notre Dame will help and I think that is possible.

Bad news about the Big Ten play is that it affects our SOS in the computer ratings part of the BCS later. We have to win out the way this is going.

We need these guys to put their bloody pads on straight and come out and kick a little Domer butt in the second half.

There were a lot of changes... new coach at Wisconsin, last minute change at Northwestern, but I thought PSU, Michigan, Iowa would give us a strong top tier... now hoping for Michigan and damn, does this ever make the Michigan game at ND BIG!

ND will come out of today with a solid second in the rankings, possibly first, if both Texas and OSU play badly.

Well, so much for coming out and kicking butt! :slappy:

I suppose the good thing is that I feel better about kicking the living daylights out of these buggers when they come to Ohio Stadium and getting some payback for last year.

i remember saying that Brady Quinn scrambles like old people fuck... check that. Anthony Morelli runs the option like old people fuck...
Hopefully the Silver Bullets can pressure McCoy into those kind of decisions.

Awful.

Posluszny looks horrible out there. He's getting blown off the ball on running plays, and ND's not even double teaming him. He's been beaten on several pass plays to the TE down the field. Finally, he's not an impact player--no sacks, no INTs or pass breakups, no TFLs--rather, all of his tackles are 5-8 yards down the field in his zone. NO WAY is he the best LB in the nation. No way.

He certainly doesn't look like the same player he was last year. While I agree Hawk should have one the Butkus last year I think it's safe to say Posluszny hasn't recovered fully from the knee injury.
