That was on Pat Fitzgerald. They got the ball with about 4 minutes to go in the half. I said "Perfect, drive down and get a score to take the lead in the last 30 seconds, and don't allow PSU to have any time to score before the half."
They drive to the 9 yard line, and have a second down with 2 timeouts left and just under 1 minute to go. Fitzgerald called a timeout shorthly after the play ended, leaving 55 seconds on the clock. NW'ern scored on the next play, leaving too much time for JoePa.
It Fitz had let that clock run down to 30 seconds before calling the timeout, he still would had a timeout left and plenty of time to run 2 plays, one of which could have been a running play or a sack, before kicking a field goal on 4th down. It was sad to know what could happen before NW'ern even started their drive, but their defense is just that bad.
