if a fumble goes out of bounds, it is placed at the spot if the fumble if fumbled forward. placed at the spot where it went out of bounds if fumbled backwards.
Thanks. Wonder if the Big Ten will acknowledge the mistake. Not sure what you think about SEC officiating, but I've been saying for years that Big Ten officiating is the worst. By far--I watch a fair bit of non-Big Ten CFB games.
oh and it was the same play as the Devin White “targeting” call.
so actually 45 yards total on the play.
snap took place at Miss St 12.
interception returned to the 13.
however due to the penalties, next snap was Miss St ball at the LSU 42.
haven’t heard much talk about the celebration penalties due to the White targeting call.
Dear Nutriaitch,
Thanks for your interest in becoming a B1G Official. We regret to inform you that your application was denied for the following reasons: Proper understanding and application of the rule-book. We encourage to apply again when you have a lesser understanding of the rules.
Jim Delany
Dear Mr Delany,
A quick review of my post history will clearly show my absolute lack of shame. I have always had an uncanny ability to make up my own rules and regulations as I go. I also have zero fear of accepting bribes and kickbacks.
This clearly puts me in the very upper echelon of applicants for B1G ref.
Especially considering that at least one per game I would call something egregious against Ped St (even if they’re not playing in the game i’m calling). For no reason other than to get a good laugh while reading the conspiracy theories on BWI after the game.
Sincerely,
Nutriaitch
So you're basically saying the latter happened, in my question? Because that set of circumstances happened, and the Big Ten refs gave Purdue a first down, where they otherwise would've been forced to attempt a field goal.
