After another steady stream of power shots to the head in Round 9, Rubio's corner does the honorable and humane thing and doesn't allow Rubio to continue any more.

3 more rounds in a fight like this is how a boxer gets brain damage, and what makes boxing so dangerous.

rubio was not considered a strong opponent. pavlik needed this kind of guy after losing the way he did to hopkins. paul williams and arthur abraham are the real fights for kelly.

pavlik could have ended this fight at any minute. he put rubio in the corner in every round, he could have pushed and ended the fight in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, ect. it really felt like he was giving the crowd their money- i ass|u|me that everyone saw herby just off the corner?
