Maybe now everyone will be a little tempered in their claims that Tom Brady is a great QB simply b/c of his postseason performance. Only a true idiot buys into that argument.

Say what you want about him, but 3 SB wins in four years is pretty damn impressive (scUMmer or not). He hasn't exactly been bad during the regular season either.

Well, at least they lost by enough that we got to hear all the puff stories in the fourth quarter that we would've had to hear leading up to the Super Bowl had they made it. Glad I got to hear about Bill Belichick's dad.

Yeah, and that talent around him had nothing to do with the Super Bowl wins. In fact, I bet he would have won those Super Bowls even if he were playing with the Arizona Cardinals. :roll1:

Thats a terrific argument :roll1: . New England had much the same talent around Bledsoe the previous 3 seasons before 2001, and they won how many Super Bowls? I'm no Brady or NE fan, but I can recognize a very good QB when I see one...scUMmer or not.

What an ignorant thing to say. He may be from scUM, but Tom Brady is a great quarterback. If you actually watch him play (regular season, superbowl, playoffs, whatever) he makes great plays, and clutch plays. I recognize a great player when I see one, and for people to still not give Brady the credit he deserves is ridiculous.

Now let's not start a "How horrible is Brady" thread

I thought the Patriots played hard, and certainly got hosed by that PI call at the end of the first half. The good news was they didn't play well enough to win, so they have nothing to complain about. Say what you want, and there are a lot of reasons to dislike a lot of Patriot players and coaches individually, but as a unit, they're pretty good, and play the game the right way. Still, I'm glad to see a coach will win the Super Bowl this year that won't start cutting players in the locker room after the game

Ben Watson walking Champ Bailey on that INT return was one hell of an effort. That is the kind of heart that is rare nowadays in the waters of professional sports.

**EDIT (i found the name of the player who caught up to champ bailey)
