Patriots(-13.5) at Giants

How on earth can a network that shows nothing but football not have a heads-up display that consistently shows down, distance and remaining timeouts at all times, let alone in crucial situations?

maybe they expect the viewers to be coherent enough to know those things? :roll1:

For 20+ years NFl games on TV didn't show anything on the screen, and SOMEHOW people were still able to follow the action. Amazing!

So how many times was Brady the QB for Michigan in the Mich/OSU rivalry? What happened? I know y'all beat him at least once, but that Michigan was terrible that year. How big of a superstar did y'all think Brady was while he was at TSUN?

Have to give the Pats credit, great season and great game.

Of course. Credit where it's due - CONGRATULATIONS DICKHEADS!

I wonder what Mercury Morris will have to say about this.

Hopefully nothing. He raps like Mark Madsen dances. Sending him back into obscurity is the only good thing that comes of the Patriots winning.

1998 - we won (Brady had a good game statistically but mainly because we had a big lead at the half and they had zero running game)

1999 - they won

Right, since everyone watches every NFL game from start to finish. What's the ole tibor line about having a life again?

IIRC correctly, tOSU beat him and a decent scUM team in '98 and he beat a mediocre (read: decimated by attrition) tOSU team in '99. I was never impressed with him at scUM, good, not great. Their own fans called for uber-prospect Drew Henson at times.

I was plenty coherent enough to keep up with that stuff on my own for the Alamo Bowl - the game that I've spent most of my time paying attention to while I had the NFL game on picture-in-picture. I don't think it's too much to ask for a network whose sole purpose is to cover football to use the tools that are available to them these days to produce a broadcast that offers everything that any other network that manages to broadcast NFL or college football on a part-time basis does.
