Paris Hilton’s spokesman has confirmed reports that the reality TV star and party girl has become engaged to her boyfriend, Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis. Latsis proposed to Hilton Wednesday, after Hilton returned from a European promotion tour.

Spokesman Rob Shuter said in a statement that “They are happy and excited.” Hilton and Latsis have been seeing each other for eight months and Latsis said recently he feels “like the luckiest man in the world.”

Hilton told US Weekly that “I feel like we’re meant to be, and I’m happy to have found someone to spend the rest of my life with.” It will be the first marriage for both Hilton and Latsis. No wedding date has been set.
