Always have fuckin hated dogs, but what I hate more than dogs are stupid parents.........and this is definitely one of them.

now i have not a thing against dogs, im actually a really big dog person, but 99 times out of 100, its not the dog's fault. its not their fault that they are probably abused or neglected and forced to be mean and argessive. Also, if you want to have a dog, esspecially with children, know how to take care of it and make it into a family dog. If you can't take care of an animal, dont fucking get one.

i agree with you that 99% of dog attacks are the owners fault. but when it comes to agressive or high strung dogs the main cause imo is a complete lack of understanding of what they are dealing with and how to properly care for such an animal. i grew up around dobermans and the rules for owning a doberman are VERY different than owning say a pug. the potential side effects to not following those rules for whatever reason are equally different.

i grew up on a farm and im here to tell you that ALL animals are at their core wild, no matter how "domesitcated". the only difference between breeds and even species is the rules you must follow to stay safe and the cosiquences when you don't follow said rules. there is no such thing as an "evil" breed or species. simply animals that require more care than others.

I was thinking the same thing. Why not have them in a cage or something that can hold them.... or better yet, why have them at all if they are causing problems with children. This is beyond stupidity. This reminds me of the saying... you need a license to drive a car but any idiot can be a parent. This story makes me sick.
She had a bunch of clothes bagged in the basement. She was worried that the dogs would tear up the bags so she locked the kid down there instead.

"And I told him: `Stay down there until I come back.' Typical Nicky, he wouldn't listen to me."
Way to blame it on your poor dead kid. Maybe if you could train your dogs not to be killers you would have also been a better parent and your son would listen to you when you tell him to do something. Dumb cunt.

Mom charged in fatal dog mauling

Friday, June 24, 2005; Posted: 9:05 a.m. EDT (13:05 GMT)

SAN FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- The mother of a 12-year-old boy fatally mauled by the family's pit bulls was charged Thursday with child endangerment.

Nicholas Faibish was killed June 3 by one or both of the family dogs when his mother went out to run errands.

Maureen Faibish, 39, found her son in a bedroom, covered in blood from several wounds, including a major head injury.

One of the dogs was shot and killed by a police officer shortly after the attack. The other remains in animal control custody.

"His parent made the decision to leave (Nicholas) alone in a situation that endangered his life and ultimately led to his death," prosecutor Kamala Harris said in a statement.

Maureen Faibish told the San Francisco Chronicle she had been so concerned about one of the dogs that she shut her son in the basement to protect him. She said the male dog was acting possessively because the female was in heat.

An arraignment will be scheduled for next week. Faibish faces a maximum ten years in prison if convicted.
