A Princeton grad!!!!!!

CY was my roomate senior year of college. He's a great guy - we're all very proud of him and happy for him. He was a ridiculously skilled basketball player too. He couldn't show everything he could do in the system, but seeing him play some pickup, he was every bit as talented as he would have needed to be to play in the NBA.

As will probably be mentioned during the broadcast - Chris Young, who is starting tonight for the Padres on ESPN Sunday Night baseball, wrote his senior thesis at Princeton (while playing minor league baseball) on Jackie Robinson and his effect on sports and pop culture.

Amazing timing that he would be available to start tonight. Good luck to CY!

CY an All-Star!

Chris Young an All Star

SAN DIEGO -- While Chris Young was elated on Thursday after finding out that he had earned a spot on the National League's roster for the All-Star Game as the winner of the Monster 2007 All-Star Final Vote, he was more moved by the means that got him there.
'It's incredible -- I can't express enough gratitude to everyone," Young said. "The great measures people have gone through. I'm overwhelmed and thrilled. From the community, the organization and my teammates ... it might be even greater than just getting elected..."
