Which would make a max of 25 kids actually enrolled in the Fall of 2011 and credited to the 2011 signing class (4 were EEs credited back to 2010) - or a minimum of 22 athletes actually enrolling and potentially playing who are counted in the 2011 signing class - if I'm getting what you mean Grad.osugrad21;1874086; said:4 early enrollees...3 guaranteed non-qualifiers with up to 6.

To be clear, that is a Gamecock Class of anywhere from 22 - 25 actual enrollees for recruiting year 2011 when the smoke clears???
To save a spot for Clowney and sign Atlanta-area linebacker Cedrick Cooper on Wednesday, the Gamecocks were forced to ask two recruits to wait to sign letters of intent. Atlanta-area defensive end Lorenzo Mauldin and Florida linebacker Jordan Montgomery have both been asked to hold off until the summer, when spots will likely become open because of prep school placements.
But Mauldin and Montgomery each have their own academic issues, a source said. Additionally, Montgomery has a knee injury that needs an MRI exam. The players were told all along that in-state players would be treated preferentially, so as to maintain good relationships with those schools.

So they nominally credited four kids back to 2010 and still signed "25." How much you wanna bet they find a way to credit some 2012 kids back to this 2011 class? How exactly would they do that, when that would put them over the 25 limit? How many were officially part of the 2010 class, now that four are being backdated back to 2010?Which would make a max of 25 kids actually enrolled in the Fall of 2011 and credited to the 2011 signing class (4 were EEs credited back to 2010) - or a minimum of 22 athletes actually enrolling and potentially playing who are counted in the 2011 signing class - if I'm getting what you mean Grad.

the individual class total will likely be fine, but they are still 4 over before the non qualifiers.
When the smoke clears next year, OSU will have a class of 18ish because of limited scholarships. Meanwhile when Bama has even fewer available scholarships, they try to haul in 25+.When the smoke clears both programs will have 22-28 guys.
EE work the same in every conference AFAIK. The 3-over is to allow OSU to be at 88 scholarships in February as long as they're at 85 in August, though they have to provide documentation. Now, maybe I am wrong about this, but could somebody tell me if the Big-10 includes the EE guys counting back to the previous class as part of the "three over" limit - or does the "three over limit" not include the EEs, and only include the numbers of extra spots available because of leaving early for the draft, injury, and quitting? Where can the three extra guys be applied in the Big-10 - to both EE and drop out spots, or only to drop out spots?

My take is that he is going after Nick and the Aubies, although we are hearing stuff about the astonishing turn around of FSU. But as he could just as well be talking about oversigning as Cam Newton, I thought I'd post it again.
Other than Saban and Chizik lying like whores you mean? :pOSU_D/;1874140; said:[gator]I don't care what numbers you have or what some parent or kids says, we all know that every instance of oversigning is really the school taking the kid and sending him to a friendly JUCO.
