After watching this miserable season I have decided to join this forum to express my frustrations. Is it just me, or is John Simon one of the most overrated players in the great history of Buckeye defenses? He consistantly gets ran by or completely dominated by an opposing tackle. It just seems to me that the only time this guy makes plays is when a play has broken down for the opposing team. With that said, why was the freshman Miller not given a shot to prove himself? Another thing that I realized towards the last 2 games of the season is how underrated Posey is to this team. He simply made Braxton look like a much better QB than the previous 10 games; Posey could of had 3 tds easily against Michigan. Counting down the days for Urban Meyer and an identity on both sides of the ball!!! :osu:

Say what? He was the best defensive player on the team for 9/10ths of this season AND he was playing out position.

Miller was given a shot, and he wasn't ready yet. He wasn't prepared for it very well by the coaching staff either (which is for another thread), but he was thrown into a nearly impossible position. Not everyone is going to win from day one like TP did and in 2008, TP had a much more mature team around him.

well that was a good first post lol... But I agree to a LESSER volume. I think Posey was very underrated as far as his importance. I do feel Simon needs to be more consistent with his approach but he certain is not overrated. He was playing out of position all year long and made the best of it, and his efforts alone was all we could muster as a pass rush. This team straight up lacks speed on the edges right now, but hopefully Williams can come back strong and then Simon/Hankins in the middle can really put pressure on a team up the middle.

I am assuming you were born in 1989, as was I.

On behalf of every other buckeye fan born in this great year, I apologize...

I graduated from tOSU in 1988. Damn, you kids make me feel old.

But if you live where I think you live my sympathies are with you. Working in PA, as I do, is bad enough but living in TSUN...
