As has been discussed at length elsewhere, the issue in this scenario is that we have to assume MSU is already in.

11-1 OSU means no ccg, which means the loss was to MSU. So if MSU isn't in, I see no way the Buckeyes are in.

This leaves 3 spots, which means OSU has to finish ahead of three of the five named options above.

The easiest to finish ahead of would be the ACC champ if their loss was to Va Tech (or if the ACC champ IS a 12-1 Va Tech, which is about as likely as monkeys flying out of my ass). The rest seem equally likely to me.

Long story short, I don't see the Buckeyes in the playoff in the scenario given. But then, I really don't expect Sparty to knock off the Buckeyes in the 'Shoe this year

Way too many variables for me to even try. I mean who would we lose to and when? Is Georgia the 11-2 SEC team? What the Fuck has the Pac done to deserve such reverence? Are we still running a pro style offense or have we reverted back to an offense that broke a Drew Brees record? Meh I had to go with other. We could get in over all of them if it's the right circumstances. I like the 15-0 poll better.

If Ohio State loses but still wins the conference they'll be in. Being defending champs and having vindicated the committee's decision last year, they would get the benefit of the doubt. It could happen if the Buckeyes say, lost to Penn State but beat MSU.

I agree though, if a loss keeps Ohio State from winning the conference they wouldn't get a berth - nor should they.
