And even though he welcomes all and any offers, Applewhite says two schools would be considered "dream offers" for him.
"Any FBS school is a blessing to get an offer from," he explained. "But growing up I’ve always been an Ohio State fan. I’m a Big Ten guy, so I’m going to say Ohio State and Michigan are my two dream offers."
"Ohio State is looking at me and so is Penn State. Coach Warinner at Ohio State has been telling me to keep working hard and doing what I'm doing. He wants to see film of me this fall."
When it comes to the Buckeyes, that is definitely a program White would love to get an offer from. He spoke about what a scholarship from OSU would mean to him, as well as what it's like to see another city kid in Curtis Samuel performing so well for Urban Meyer's team.
"It would mean a lot," White said of an offer from Ohio State. "I've just got to put in the work. If I play the way I know I can, it will come.
"Seeing Curtis Samuel out there feels great. He comes from the same place I come from and he's doing it big up there at Ohio State. I respect him a lot."
White says he will try to visit Columbus after his junior season, and that during the season he'd like to visit Pittsburgh, Penn State, Rutgers, and Syracuse if he can.
“A recruiting analyst or someone in player personnel got a hold of me on twitter, he got me on the phone with the wide receivers coach, Coach (Zach) Smith,” he said. “Since then, we’ve been building a good relationship.”
“They play 10 receivers,” he said. “They run a fast offense - everything’s speed - you know, speed kills, and that’s where I want to be; in a place that really runs that speed.”
For Ohio State, ever since I was little, they have been my favorite team. I would love to play for Ohio State. They were the team I grew up watching.

Indianapolis, Indiana, North Central three-star cornerback Donald “D.J.” Johnson has set up an unofficial visit to Ohio State.
“I'll be there Oct. 29 versus Northwestern,” Johnson told Eleven Warriors. “I'm very excited. I can't wait. I'm a big fan of Ohio State football.”
The 6-foot-1, 160-pounder is considered the fifth-best prospect in the state and the No. 49 overall cornerback in the Class of 2018. He currently holds an offer from Bowling Green, but programs such as Indiana, Louisville, Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State have all shown interest in recent weeks.
“[Defensive backs] coach Kerry Coombs reached out to me and told me that he had been hearing good things about me. The conversation went on from there,” Johnson said. “He seems like a great coach and I'm hoping to build a relationship with him.”
