What the heck are they drinkin' in Indiana?

A Purdue University student was injured when he leaped from a third-floor balcony to avoid officers, police said.

Stupid, but it gets better:

A student at Indiana University in Bloomington survived a leap from the eighth floor of Ballantine Hall on April 19 when an awning broke his fall, police said.

Alas, it ends tragically:

Another IU student fell to his death early Sunday after apparently climbing out the window of his ninth-floor room at Briscoe Quadrangle, campus police said.

A bit off-topic...

I was in Cbus this past weekend, and was surprised that the window of my hotel room opened all the way, and had not even a screen. Did I mention that this is a 7th floor room? Thought that was a bit weird. There WAS a nice breeze, though, so no complaints from me.
