Our DB's Two years later

HUBRIDER

HAS BEEN
In July 2005 if someone told you who our starting DB's were going to be in 2007, how many of us would be looking for tall buildings to jump off? The v-cash would have been on Ginn (remember the clamor to move him to corner), Amos, Jamo and probably Patterson. Instead we may have to go with many of these plan B guys as Bnuts crowd proclaimed them. Three no names in Jenkins, Russel and Washington along with a 4 star corner moved to safety (Coleman) and a five star at nickel in Jamo. God I love JT and the staff just for the fact that in due time they make us look so stupid. I like this lineup for 2007 and In Tress we Trust.

Had their been a V-Bet if Jamo would be a starter this year, I probably would have went all in. I think I was calling him a 3-and-done from the start, he is the player that I just keep hoping that it all clicks and he explodes for his senior season.

Me as well. Just goes to show you how special CHRIS GAMBLE was. But even a player like Tedd Ginn couldn't fill that role. Pretty impressive of Chris, if you ask me.

I have no doubt that Ginn COULD HAVE filled that role. But, unlike Gamble, Ginn wasn't needed at defensive back. Gamble's move to corner was based on necessity.
