texas was not outplayed, their defense played as good as ours and their offense got it done when ours couldn't, you can't take that win away from them. accept it, we lost to a great team that doesn't make us any worse, texas was just better that day, and thats all there is. don't get me wrong, tOSU could have won that game but we didn't, so don't cheapen their win by saying we blew it.

if we would have outplayed them then the score would have reflected it
the stats don't lie either

Passing yards
tOSU 144
UT 270

total offense
tOSU 255
UT 382

plain and simple, they were not outplayed. I don't like it but they did beat us on both sides of the ball, their defense held us to 255 total yards while ours held their offense to 382?? how can you say that we outplayed them? maybe someone should define the word "outplayed" for me and then demonstrate how they were outplayed by us.

when you get the ball in scoring position every time, you don't have to move the ball very much. I'm not sure we outplayed them, but they were shutdown offensively for 2 straight quarters. They made a late game comeback.

Are you trying to suggest they outplayed us? B/c I can put up some really attractive stats for Henne last year that would give you no idea that he was totally outplayed defensively.

i don't think anyone was outplayed and thats why i put up the stats that i did because you can't say we outplayed them when we lost a game. i don't believe that you can outplay somebody and lose a game that just makes no sense to me. our defense did shut them down for 2 quarters but the game is 4 quarters so shutting them down for only half of the game doesn't really mean that much.

I'm guessing you haven't been watching very long, b/c this is very possible. One team can dominate a close game, but then on a big play or two the other team can win. Not saying that's what happened here, but its definitely possible.

Holy cow, look at Indiana and Oregon last year...Indiana had something like 150 total yards and walked out with a win because of several stupid turnovers...it actually happens quite frequently.

well if you are giving up game winning big plays then you aren't really outplaying anyone now are you

whatever tho i don't really care that much i just don't think that we outplayed them thats just my opinion

Well, I guess if that's your definition, then if you lose, you couldn't. But there are a lot of things: favorable bounces, penalty calls, etc., that go into the outcome of a game besides executing a gameplan better than the opponent ("outplaying" the other team)...and you can execute your gameplan better and still lose.
