OT Zen Michalski (National Champion; transfer to Indiana; National Champion)

"The only college football player in the country that can make that claim. Kind of cool."

Choose Wisely

Even though he is only listed as the RT3 on Indiana's depth chart, I guess you can say he "chose wisely"; he could very well finish college with a degree (earned his bachelor’s degree in sport industry from Ohio State) and 2 Natty Rings.

They rotate him at RT from what I’ve heard.

I just read that on an Oregon breakdown:

https://www.addictedtoquack.com/col...uck-tape-film-analysis-update-of-indiana-2025

Indiana's offensive tackle rotation in late 2025 and early 2026 featured
Carter Smith as the primary left tackle, with strong competition at right tackle between Kahlil Benson and Zen Michalski, supported by other depth players like Adedamola Ajani and Benson's rotational use, highlighting a talented but shifting unit known for good run-blocking. Benson secured the starting RT job, with Michalski as backup, though Ajani's versatility on the right side (guard/tackle) added complexity and quality depth

Sure would have been nice if he played right guard for the good guys. Not sure exactly what happened, but the Buckeyes definitely could have used him this year

Congratulations Zen!

Just sayin': I'm just guessing that he knew he wasn't going to beat out Montgomery, Tshabola, Padilla, and VanSickle for an OG position. In his case I don't think it was about NIL money. He had already earned his degree at Ohio State in "sport industry". He had one more year of eligibility left; so he "took a chance" and transferred to his home state team. He just wanted an opportunity for more playing time in his final year in college.

He really didn’t even play much this year to be honest…..tons of injuries saw him getting some PT. He was third string entire season…
