OT Dawand Jones (All B1G, All-American, Cleveland Browns)

When I was in HS, my best friend was a blob.. zero muscles... but 6'5 and 275+...
I learned that even with no athletic ability and no muscularity 6'5 275 was an immense and often an immovable load to move or bring down
I can't imagine what dealing with this earthmover must feel like
I can relate...

In HS I was handily the strongest kid on the team. For 4 lifts in the off-season I had the best total by like 200 pounds. At 215 pounds at the time I was moved to guard from fullback (??? why I don't know). Long story short my stay was short on the OL as I couldn't move kids that were 275 pounds. Size matters and at 6 foot 9 375 I don't know how anyone generates enough speed/strength combination to move that guy.

McFadden was under the painfully mistaken impression that he had enough of a speed advantage to shoot the B gap. The only thing I regret about that play is that future opponents are much less likely to even try shooting gaps to either side of Jones.

PREGAME POTTY. Turns out, the only thing that can slow down Dawand Jones this season is a bad sausage biscuit.

In an extremely relatable moment, Dawand was out there getting ready for the game, then he felt that ominous rumble at the bottom of his stomach and had to go "handle some business" back in the locker room.

It’s just a different world..the Bobby Knight Bear Bryant Woody Hayes three coaches I respect had a way of coaching that ran it’s course. I remember Bear linebacker of the 60-70’s Doug Buffone saying he would have loved playing for Knight. BUT he would never recommend his son playing for him. Now it seems the Urban’s, Kelly, and even Saban may be nearing there eras end. Day Campbell Riley seem like the new era.
