Time for you to go back to your Notre Dame site...oops, do they even have one?
Mili, I sincerely appreciate you allowing me to have the opportunity to recall that there is indeed a site where college football fans can go to get "real insider" commentary on the nuts and bolts of Notre Dame football:

http://www.angelfire.com/nj3/notredame/gamesum.html

It's a really funny week-by-week commentary on "college football's most storied tradition", written by a guy who ought to do stand up comedy. A few choice lines...

...poor coaching since Lou Holtz left, with undefeated George O’Leary being the exception....

"Watching Notre Dame in a bowl game is worth precisely as much as a belch, the difference being that a belch is more satisfying."

"This week the Irish’s middle name happened to be Luck. Unfortunately, its first name was bad. ...Just for grins and giggles, a beleaguered Boston College spotted the mutant-like leprechauns a 20-7 halftime lead. The Eagles did not even take the game seriously until the second half, where they out gained the Irish 319 yards to 122 and held them to 24 rushing yards in the second half...as Touchdown Jesus threw both arms in the air proclaiming “IT’S GOOD!!!” Ohliger’s field goal cut Notre Dame’s lead to 20-17. Like a midget at a urinal, Coach Ty was going to have to stay on his toes..."

This coming from a sheep who roots for the most popular team in the nation - that's why NBC is bowing to the flock, bozo.

If they wanted ratings, they'd be pushing ND for the millions of drones just like you. Then again, pushing ND for the NC these days is so laughable even ESPN won't do it.
UHH YEAH ...

Like your team last year was ANY better than ND!!

As for that site thats what popularity will get you! LOL!!

Chief, a humorous if somewhat delusional sidetrack and I answered your PM. Let's return to the thread topic.

I am thrilled to see the Buckeyes getting early season recognition but I also remember many reports that Herbstreit and other ESPiN announcers tell others that they are kept on a pretty tight rein in terms of what they can say on-air, as witnessed by many "friendly" posts on BP.

Are you arguing that it is not possible that the ESPiN on-air transformation of Ohio State, "from cesspool of college sports" just six months ago to "worthy national championship contender with a storied legacy" today, is not being encouraged by ESPiN management?

If so, then to what do you attribute the change in the opinions of all of these ESPiN "sports journalists" over the last few weeks? Exactly what has changed to cause them to change their evaluations?

Maybe ESPiN is making an effort to calm down a few Buckeye fans before College Game Day comes into town. I don't think it'll do them much good. I can just imagine some of the signs that'll be behind them haha.
