OSU Football still under NCAA investigation?

Living here in Florida is not easy to be a follower of Ohio State Football. I am constantly pounded with questions and allegations of Jim Tressels status in running a dirty program.

It all stems from the article in ESPN magazine 2 years ago with Clarett. And also they still seem to think that Clarett was telling the truth about the incidents with cars, phoney work assignments,
and Tressel knowing all about this. No matter what i respond with, they seem to think that I am very dumb or that i don't want to admit the truth. Most of these people are fans of Florida State, Miami and some from Michigan and Maryland.

One guy from Michigan told me that Tressel was going to be investigated by the NCAA in 1998 and that YSU was going to ask him to resign. Thats when i damn near got thrown out of the establishment and lost my cool. I was asked to leave and so I did. I am getting too old for this kind of stuff to be getting to me, like it does.

The one thing that really set me off was when the scum fan said that Ohio State is not thru being investigated by the NCAA. I damn near hit him and thats when i was asked to leave. I really tried to tell these guys that they were being misinformed but they all laughed at me. They backed me into a corner and i sort of came out swinging. Ive always felt that Tressel and his staff were doing the best they could. Maybe this comes along when a team wins a National Championship. I hope all that was told to me will end up being nothing and all this stuff was a mere fabrication born out of frustration. Who know were all this is coming from. When Will it ever end.

Now more than ever for this year especially, I hope that Ohio STate can run the table, go up to city of the whore and kick ass and take names. And win another N/C. I am thru being a nice guy. I don't care if i am 65 or not. I aint taken it no more. Woody Hayes put Ohio State into the laurels of football Legends and thats where we are going to stay.
 
Smith was cleared of any wrong-doing in his trip to McNair's charity camp in June. Other than that, the NCAA wasn't looking into anything else on the football program (Smith still has to sit out one more game for his taking of money...that issue has also been closed).

Anytime any of those fucks say shit like that, tell them to quote a source or shut the fuck up.

Any time a scUMmer tries to bring up anything about unlucky 13 and his allegations, I always ask them what happened to their Final Four banners from the Bribed Five years.

Eh, I think you can use that line for the rest of the year, until our 1999 Final Four banner comes down. :shake:

Kippy, just send those clowns to the official NCAA web site. There they can search the major infractions database. There they will see ALL the infractions OSU has committed in the past 10 years. Yes, all those things they keep harping on you about. Yes, all ZERO of them. Tell them to come talk to you once OSU shows up on that list even though we've been under almost constant scrutiny for the past 2 years.

FSU: 6 (1996, 1984, 1983, 1974, 1970, 1968)

Investigation over, hearing December

The Investigation is done, but the hearing was postponed. This has more to do with the BB program, than FB, and none of it has to do with Clarett.

The NCAA would not comment on the reason for the delay. A message seeking comment was left with an Ohio State athletic department spokesman.

Seven of the alleged infractions involve Ohio State's men's basketball team.

The NCAA accuses both former head basketball coach Jim O'Brien and former assistant Paul Biancardi failed "to monitor the conduct and administration" of the basketball program from July 1998 to May 2002.

Last June, Ohio State fired O'Brien for arranging a $6,700 payment to the family of a recruit. In December, the school self-imposed a one-year postseason tournament ban on the men's basketball program.

The one football violation involved quarterback Troy Smith's acceptance of $500 from former OSU booster Robert Q. Baker in May 2004.

Another NCAA finding involves an orthodontist allegedly providing free and discounted services to five women's basketball players.
