Game Thread Oregon State @ Ohio State - 09/01/18, 12:00PM (ABC)

Wondering if the coaching staff keeps the playcalling pretty vanilla considering the talent gap or if they come out and make a statement right out the gates.

If it were my call I want Haskins to execute the entire offense with 10 carries each for Dobbins and Weber. Pour it on and then turn the offense over to Tate and Teague in the second half after the first series.

Way too many new guys, especially at the LOS, to pussyfoot around and save stuff for TCU.

The Twitter post Mili was replying to doesn’t say PAC 12 or opening game it says:

#DYK: Saturday will be the first time in a while since a team from the West Coast visited Columbus.

1️⃣5️⃣ years to be exact. #GoBucks | @OhioStateFB

Then it has a separate picture with a caption about an opening day win against Washington in 2003. I immediately thought of USC and Cal. Props to Mili for pointing out SDSU too. How could I forget the day Columbus was invaded by the Aztecs...

Those weren’t season openers, and San Diego State isn’t in the Pac-12.

2009 opened against Navy, 2012 opened against Miami OH -- Devin Smith's one-handed fall-away catch in the end zone.
I was referencing their DYK comment "Saturday will be the first time in a while since a team from the West Coast visited Columbus."

Enjoy the humidity, Beavers. At least you’ll be leaving The Shoe dripping wet and exhausted. Not a bad way for beavers to go out.

Right. I’ll show myself out...

this is an area where Meyer will be missed. Meyer might want a certain thing on film for TCU to be worrying about, for example. And, since he can't communicate that, he will play the cards dealt when he returns on Sunday. I don't think it's a huge deal, maybe "missed" is a bit too strong, as there's another game to put something on film, and Meyer will be able to communicate that during next week's practices. Just something I thought of as a consequence of the suspension.

As long as TCU has to worry about the run and the pass, I'll be happy. If I was trying to find anything positive because of this suspension, it would be that TCU can't pinpoint tendencies.
