I wouldn't mind thinking the same except for two reasons:

1) It's in Berkeley.
2) The Beavers are too mistake prone this year to snag an upset, IMO.

The Beavers have the worst QB's in the country. Morelli looks like Marino compared to them. It's a shame too because they have a solid defense, all of their o-line starters back from last year, and talented skill players in Stroughter and Bernard that are just going to waste.

I was talking with some colleagues earlier this year, and I was positing the following question:

How did Reilly set it up that there were no junior or senior quarterbacks available for this year? Is it recruiting? Or what? It just seems like I'm spoiled with the depth of the Buckeyes, and it's strange to see another team have this much difficulty.

I agree. I heard that Stroughter is going to go ahead and get a medical red-shirt. Even though he played a little bit, he can still take it apparently.

Reilly got advice on the qb depth chart from noted offensive genius Charlie Weis. That or it's all Ty's fault. Yeah, if Ty had just recruited better for the beavers they wouldn't have this problem.

I think the AP voters would definitely look at OSU as a "sexier" #1 team and lean that way in the voting - especially if Cal wins a close one.
