Oregon St +20.5 at USC (ov/un 49.5)

Taylor Mays rips off a guy's helmet in the end zone. It could have been a penalty for 3 different reasons - facemask, late hit, and unnecessary roughness for ripping off the helmet after the play was over.

No penalty was called. Mike Patrick and Craig James spent a couple minutes trying to figure out how the ref at the back of the end zone didn't call anything. He had a clear view of the play from a few yards away.

Sorry methomps and ttk, but fuck Taylor Mays - he takes a lot of cheap shots.

This. That crap happens far too often and, oddly enough, never gets called. I had to scrape my jaw off the floor after seeing that not get flagged. Are these refs even watching this shit? :shake:

Despite losing, Oregon State impressed the hell out of me last night. Their offense couldn't be stop. If they'd put in in the endzone in the first half and didn't get called for the late hit against Barkley in the first half they would've won. Whoever calls their plays is a genius. They have speed and their qb is much improved from what I remember seeing. They're always tougher as the year goes on. I wouldn't want to be playing them in a bowl.

Meanwhile Mays got flagged for two penalties last week against ND that shouldn't have been called (and have been reviewed as such by the Pac-10 comm).

I agree that he should have been flagged on that play. But Mays isn't a dirty player, as much as you guys want to think he is.
