Oregon at tOSU, Sep 11th, Noon ET on Fox

Regardless of the offense stalling on both final drives, the biggest problem is the defense. The offensive issues with Stroud are definitely youth and some more time to put in. On defense...youth appears to be far from the biggest issue.

So the crew says he led with the crown.
Defender is injured because he led with the crown.
Offender is hurt because Defender led with the crown.

but no targeting for leading with the crown?
So what you’re saying is Shaun Wade was totally guilty of targeting against Lawrence Wilson in the Clemson game two years ago and the Fox announcers like Joel Klatt were totally wrong to dispute the call? Is that what you’re saying?

Just because you want free yardage, it doesn’t make it targeting. If you want to link us to your post in the Minnesota game thread from last week when the exact same hit that was initially called as targeting by OSU but got overturned on replay and you expressed your outrage, I’d love to see it.

I mean, JTB didn't look so hot against VTech.
I think we'll be OK.

(not trying to say this will be 2014, just not stressed by a late interception in a young QB's 2nd game, first under the big lights, in a game with a lot of errors besides the int)

totally agree, I’m just making a comparison to a more recent QB. Both struggled with throwing high and inaccuracy. Difference is that JT had more natural leadership in this stage. I still very much believe in Stroud, he just needs to build the confidence, which will slow down the game and help his accuracy. I think of being a QB in the manner of qualifying at the range. If you can control your breath and mind, your body will perform better. Some people are born with that calmness.
