I've never been a Day fan just tolerated him. He had opportunities to beat Clemson and Georgia despite the bad officiating and instant replays. The national title was won by talent at the right time but with Chip Kelly calling the offense. Even Matt Patricia was a head scratcher hire but he walked in with a solid talented group of guys. They lost to Indiana and Miami but that's on Day too. Art Smith was a big head scratcher on why did you hire him? Look at why him and Patricia were fired in the NFL. They're doing the same thing now. Hartline left yes to get head coaching experience but to get away from Day. Im good friends with his family members in Ohio.
