Oregon 39, Michigan 7 (final)

Keep your heads up scUM fans. There's always next year...well, there's still this year first....but then there's next year, after you get through this year...The bright side is that you only scheduled one D1-aa team...

These are high times. scUM is pitiful on the field, kick opposing DB's when they're down and had numerous off the field incidents. If any scUM fan tries that hollier-than-thou bullshit now, they deserve a rabbit-punch in the neck.
Lloyd Carr = John Cooper.

I was watching the play where Matthews kicked the Oregon DB, and my first thought was of Stanley Jackson. The complete implosion of the program is at hand, on the field, off the field ...

Think about this

Long
Krause
Mitchell
Hart
Henne
Arrington
Massey
Adams
Engelmon
Crable
Graham

These are the guys I know of that are gone. Their young players looked lost at about every position. To add insult to injury I can only imagine how this is gonna effect their recruiting down the stretch especially with defensive recruits. They have 15 commits and 3 are defensive players...talk about recruiting your needs:wink2:

I know Jim Tressel says to root for your Big Ten brethren against OOC teams, but sorry, I just got so much pleasure out of watching fucking Michigan get their collective asses handed to them on their home field. Then to top it off, fucking dipshit Mike hart "guarantees" a win next week against ND. Whoopie fiz, Mike... :slappy:

It will be even better if ND wins

by the way, i talked to ahmad rashad (who is a really nice and personable guy) about 6 weeks ago. i wished him good luck for the scum game, mentioning that there are holes in the vulvarine defense. he thought that the ducks would get crushed regardless.

I think this scUM has totally lost every ounce of confidence that it has. I am going with Oregon. The ducks will show up with a little fire under their butt and a confidence that they can beat scUM.

I quote myself .....HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHA

And you've gotta think that Manningham's NFL decision just got cinched after these beatdowns. Following in the footsteps of Henne, Hart, & Long to come back and lead the team to a national championship doesn't sound like a very good plan right now.

Your post had me thinking, what were their recruiting classes, and have they been recruiting too many offensive players?:

Scout.com
2007: 10th overall, 10 off/10 def
2006: 9th overall, 8 off/11 def
2005: 2nd overall, 12 off/10 def
2004: 5th overall, 10 off/12 def
2003: 8th overall, 8 off/8 def

Now, I know star rankings and such don't mean squat in the end when you evaluate a player, but I have always been inclined to think that the recruiting services' ranks do offer some barometer as to the overall quality of kids a program is bringing in over a longer term (that your 3-star gems offset your 5-star busts, so it all comes out even in the end). According to Scout, Michigan has signed virtually an even number of kids on the offensive and defensive sides, and the product they have on the field right now represents the best 22 players they've fielded from five straight Top-10 recruiting classes, including two Top-5 classes.

It's not news -- Ohio State fans have been talking about this since the 90s -- but the raw talent looks like it is there. These kids simply are not getting the strength & conditioning or coaching they need to become better football players. Michigan's S&C program, especially, would appear to be non-existent for at least the past five years. These kids may or may not be wearing cement shoes, but whether or not they're too slow isn't as important as the fact they routinely miss tackles, blow assignments, and commit dumb mistakes that lead to big plays for their opponent.

One point of interest, Michigan's best defensive commit in 2005 was blogging legend and current bench-warmer, Marques Slocum. Then in 2006, their top defensive recruit was Marques Slocum, again. The "Harvard of the West" indeed -- they hold themselves to a higher standard, people. :wink2:

Michigan State and Ohio State spread them out three years ago. given the talent they had then and now, the inability of their defense to react to the spread is an indictment of the entire defensive coaching staff.

What really shocked me was how ineffective (and limited) Henne's replacement was.

Nonetheless I still maintain that my two favorite teams are the Buckeyes and whoever is playing Notre Dame.

More comedy:

On Terrelle Pryor:
If he came to Michigan we'd probably turn him into a TE or something..

On next week's game:
Mallet vs. Clausen, Round 1 of 4

"Who's team sucks least"

Leave it to ND and scUM fans/panderers to put next week's steaming pile on a pedestal:
Hey Guys-
ND fan here.
I am looking foward to the Mallet / Clausen match up for the next few years.Next week is probably the most anticipated match up of 0-2 teams ever.

This guy has found the REAL solution:
I think we used to intimdate our opponents with all the fans. 100,000 does not still have the wow factor. We should build to hold 200,000.
