Orchard Lake (MI) St. Mary's recruiting

BGriffBuckeye

Haaaang on Sloopy, Sloopy Hang on!! O.. H.. I.. O.
With the likely additions of Anthony Bowman and Aaron Gant into the class of 2006, there seems to be a buzz around this prep school in Michigan. I had never heard of it until now, but there seems to be legitimate talent there and a rich history of championships. Already, there are new recruits popping up with interest in us.

New names on our radar:
QB Justin Siller (6'3" 180)
WR Taurian Washington (6'0" 170)
DB Dionte Allen (6'0" 175)
MLB Alex Delisi (6'2" 220)

Looks like we could be tapping into a very profitable resource here and the future can only get brighter. Here's to hoping we land 2 stud recruits in Gant and Bowman this week, and more to come....

From 2002 to 2005, OLSM produced three players who found their way into the Rivals/Scout data bases - two received offers from Michigan, and signed with the Wolverines (LB Chris McLaurin - 2005; DB Morgan Trent - 2004); the third did not receive an offer from Michigan, and signed with Northwestern (LB Malcolm Arrington). Michigan had a third OLSM player on its roster last season, fifth-year senior DB Grant Mason (class of 2001). It's difficult to say that OLSM is a "pipeline" to Michigan, but in the recent past, the Wolves have had serious success in attracting talent from that program.

If Gant has an unconditional offer from Michigan, then he would be the first OLSM player in at least five years to reject that offer in favor of another school.

that school

has given michigan a ton of kids since Bo's days. And now a lot of kids have transferred there from the inner parts of detroit, making the next few years very talent rich. The staff at that school is very pro UM. However, its nice to have a foot in the door there.

no school in the detroit area has benefitted from the mass of Detroit schools closings as OLSM. The kids will benefit to because of the programs resources. This could be a new major power in the midwest. Take Washington, he came from Detroit DePorress, I think Siller did to, (don't quote me on that)
