Opponents total D rank and our performance against them

The stat's posted originally by JaxBuck are a little skewed as well. We all know that tOSU's offense leaves a lot to be desired, but against both PSU and MSU, mostly thanks to defense and Teddy Ginn, Jr., we immediately had a two TD lead. As we all know, JT will immediately put the shackles on the O with a two TD lead. I don't know that the O could have done any better, and I'll be the first to admit that the shackles weren't nearly as tight against MSU, but I think that does play a role in these statistics. I mean, we had a 14 point lead against PSU after one offensive series, and we only attempted 6 passes the rest of the day. Without that lead, I think tOSU opens up the O a little against PSU, and the total yardage may (or may not) have been significantly higher. All this rambling boils down to basically nothing, except to say that because of the early leads in the last couple of games, the O wasn't "let loose", so to speak. Without those leads, our total yardage could have been higher.

Diggin deep in the stat sheet something really jumped out at me. OSU is 3rd in the conference in sacks. Purdue is dead last in sacks allowed.

OSU has to do 2 things on defense to gain a victory in West Laffette (wtf is east laffette????) 1) stop the run and punish Void. 2) Hammer whoever is under center. Relentless pressure. I believe that if the Defense does that, we will get a turn over or 2.... a score on special teams and 7-13 points by the offense.

In a perfect outcome... OSU score 27 PU 13
