I'm buying one tomorrow...trying to stay under 100bucks. Going to Sears since I have a 50 dollar gift card... any help?

The fucking batteries cost so much to replace you end up just buying a new drill!
I agree. Also in 3 years Sears won't make the batteries that fit in today's drills. If they carry a name brand other than Craftsman, put your 50 towards a better drill.

Depends on what your going to be using it for. If your just going to use it around the house every now and then you can probably find something pretty decent for $100. If your going to be driving 3 inch tap con's for example, put more $$$ and get a Dewalt, Porter-Cable, Milwaukee, Bosch, or Hitachi. If you need some power and torque $100 is really pushing it.

I have a Craftsman cordless but not much power. If I was you, I'd get a DeWalt but it would probably be over $100 but the batteries are easily rechargable.

I've got a Ryobi set, Drill, Circular saw, Sawzall, Vacuum, light and two batts. Like 159 at Lowes. Great set, I love it. 18 volts is plenty. I've used the bigger Dewalts and they are almost too heavy to handle.

I agree, the bigger ones can be heavy but they have some smaller ones with some serious power.
The only thing Craftsman is good for is tools and lawn mowers.

HTTR Forever.
I have a 14.4 volt B&D Firestorm. My buddy called it a "House wife tool", but it has some kick to it. I like my Firestorm. I think it cost me $110 about 4 years ago. I have two batteries, and they still last forever.
