Thump, you have to rent it! Although I enjoyed Napoleon Dynamite, Harold and Kumar had me laughing about 100x more. My favorite part of the movie is the two posh, British chicks at Princeton playing Battleshit in the bathroom.
If you recommend it buckeyegrad, it has to be good. Thanks for the heads up.

BTW, how did you hear about this flick?

The wife and I were at Blockbuster last weekend trying to find a couple of flicks to watch and one of the store workers recommended it if we like stupid comedies. Exhawg's description pretty much nails the movie.

We also rented The Grudge. It's pretty much a copycat of The Ring, but it was still intense and a good watch.

Does the wife appreciate stupid comedies as much as you and I do?
She does, but not at the same level. She has trouble distinguishing between stupid funny and just plain stupid. For example, she thinks Tom Green was stupid funny, when we all should know that he was just plain stupid.

I'm glad I am not alone in thinking the movie was horrible. It was a terrible waste of my time. Both the plot and editing of the movie were extremely poor.

My advice is to skip this one and watch Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. Now that is a funny movie!
ditto..........the dialogue and lame attempt at a plot in open water in the first 10 minutes was so terrible i literally fast forwarded through the entire movie just to see what happened.......i guess if you could suffer through the horrible dialogue/directing/plot and put yourself in their shoes it might have been OK, but i couldn't suffer through it

Harold and Kumar was surprisingly, a very funny movie, you won't be disappointed.............i loved how they skipped the Asian nerd party, then walk by later, and the dude is on the table w/ the huge bag of weed, making the girls show their tits

Great, now you've just ruined one of the approximately 150 things that were funnier than the funniest moment in Napoleon Dynamite.

Oh yeah. Never thought Open Water looked good, and still don't.

Is it just me or was there a big hole in the plot with the mixup that left them alone. Initially, the one guy couldn't go in the water because he left his mask at home or something. So 10 couples go in (20 people), leaving the one guy behind. One couple returns and the guy borrows a mask from them so he can go in, but he isn't allowed to since they use the buddy system.

So how was he planning to go in had he brought his mask? He didn't have a buddy. Assume he hadn't forgotten his mask. That leaves 10 couples and just him.

Also, I think the boat operators would've noticed something was up when they were missing two tanks. They would've had to fill them up for the next time. Instead, they don't find out until the next morning when they find the stuff left on the boat
