Online gaming - wireless connection or plugin?

How do you have your online connection set up for your X-box?

I've been looking into online play with NCAA 2006 around the corner (I've never played online).

I have a pretty standard setup - desktop sits in one corner of basement rec room and game console near middle of basement.

My problem - no internet connection near the TV.

My solution(s) - 1) don't play online, 2) string a DSL connection across my floor when in use, 3) spend $150+ on wireless router and adapter, or 4) wait and hope that the new X-box and Nintendo system come with an adapter already installed.

How would you solve this equation? Is online play really worth the hassle?

Thanks in advance.

if you have an open network card you can connect your xbox to your PC with a crossover cable and set up a little "network".

I have a PS2 but id go with the router method. i got a wireless/wired router and put it in between my TV and desktop. the computer and PS2 are both wired to the router....and i have a wireless laptop. everything works great....and online is very cool.
