Heck yes he was!!! This is all news to me (always the last to know :()... I haven't been to a DMB concert in years (probably ten at this point)... I have no clue what kind of music they've been putting out, I liked their "older" stuff from the mid/late '90's... the sax player was smooth, and added a nice sound they you usually don't get from mainstream pop/rock bands.

Still nothing like going to see live jazz, nice none-the-less...
