One less ESPN wonk...have a taco Bob

I'm in the boat with those that neither loved nor hated Griese, he was just ... there. His analysis had fallen off quite a bit, which I think was acknowledged by ABC/ESPN moving him into a three-man crew about five years ago. I'm not sure, but he may have just gotten dumber after a year of sitting in a booth with Paul McGuire. Now, ESPN recognized this and started sticking Paul in blimps and in student sections after the first year to try and dissipate his radiance of suck, but the damage had already been done to Bob.

On the other hand, at least now I won't have to scratch my head wondering who the hell is calling a game when I just hear the voices in the TV, since I could never tell if it was Brian or Bob doing a game until the camera showed their face.

Bob Griese retires from E and broadcasting. I didn't really like him or hate him...I thought the whole Montoya thing was kind of funny.

I didn't like nor dislike the guy either. I disagree with you though, the Montoya thing was not kind of funny at all.................it was hilarious.
