Dog in the Microwave
An elderly woman called up an auction house to sell her microwave. She sounded as if she were in shock and the auctioneer asked why she wanted to sell it.
“Well, my dog came in from the rain and he was soaking wet and shivering. So I figured the quickest way to dry him off would be to put him in the microwave. So I did, and pressed the “defrost button, she said.
The auctioneer, disbelieving, asked, “And then what happened?
“Well, as soon as I pressed the button, his hair stood up on end, and then about 10 seconds later, he exploded, she explained tearfully.
The auctioneer later cleaned up the remains and sold the microwave for $30.

A SMALL dog was allegedly roasted in a microwave oven for over a minute on the evening of March 20. The suspected troublemaker has been identified as a senior student of a key university in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan Province, Chengdu Business News reported.
At about 7:00pm that day, the hotline of the newspaper received a call that a three-month-old dog had been roasted in a micorwave oven. The animal was sent for treatment.
In the hospital the 30-centimetre long dog was barking painfully in the bed. The fur of its right ear had fallen out, and raw muscle was exposed. The dog's ears contained blisters that left it shaking and barking in pain.
The student surnamed Huang who brought the dog to the hospital said the dog named Yaya belonged to his classmate surnamed Wang.
Wang gave the dog to him and told him the dog had been roasted in the microwave by her boyfriend. She asked him to send it to hospital as soon as possible, adding that she was not present when her boyfriend placed the animal in the oven.
The three students mentioned are all studying in a key Chengdu university.
But when Wang agreed to the interview with Beijing Youth Daily the next day, she suddenly said that she was joking.
Wang said the dog was accidentally scalded and her boyfriend never knew of the incidence.
Wang said the dog was playing on the kitchen counter. So she beat the dog as a punishment. The dog then fell into a boiling teapot and was accidentally scalded.
Because she had to go to her part-time job, she asked Huang to take the animal to the hospital.
She joked with Huang that the dog was roasted in the oven by her boyfriend. Wang said she had not imagined things would go this far.
But according to the doctor at the pet hospital, the ear injury did not appear to be caused by scalding. The doctor said if the pet was injured in a microwave oven, other injuries may appear later.
