I would say USA Track and Field needs to fire its 4x100 relay coach (on the men's side), but I said that after the past two Olympics and it hasn't gotten better (on the men's side).

This is a joke at this point.
What the hell happened with relays? Used to be they were coached to look straight ahead and get into full stride. Extend your arm back with you palm up. Guy with the baton slaps it in, you grab it and you're off! Now they look back and grab it. Looks awkward. And stupid

They've been bad at this for a while in the Olympics. One of the reasons was they would use different runners in the earlier rounds so more people would get medals and also the runners (in this case the guys in the 200 finals) would have a lighter workload. Looks like the US used at least 7 different runners in the rounds and final.
